“Thank you for helping me read. My eyes are much better and I don’t read choppy anymore. Thanks to Jennifer for being my vision therapist. You made it very fun.”
-Brandt, age 9

“Brandt stared vision therapy August 2023. We decided to have him tested following no improvement in his reading skills since first grade. WE were advised by his reading specialist at school to have him evaluated for dyslexia and ADD. When both tests came back negative, I decided vision therapy testing was the next step. Dr. Wonderling and Jennifer felt they could help his convergence insufficiency. Within the first couple week of therapy, we noticed improvement in his reading skills and overall increase in confidence. Brandts fluency and in turn comprehension has improved. For his 9th birthday he actually read his birthday cards on his own. He now reads signs and our text messages. He has improved his far to near skills in the classroom and doesn’t get overwhelmed with out loud reading at school. Brandt used to get anxiety which in turned caused stomach aches at school because he was afraid to attempt to read at school. He has also improved his sport skills, hand/eye coordination and really excelled in basketball and baseball these last 6 months. I’m very thankful for La Crosse’s Vision Therapy, Jennier, and Dr. Wonderling for their excellent care and instruction and giving Brandt the tools to continue to improve his reading skills.”
